The Opera Studio and Choral Academy (OSCA) and Music Students. This concert provides a valuable performance opportunity to the students, OSCA and Music Students at UKZN.

The orchestra values its relationship with tertiary institutions, in particular the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The belief of exposing music students to an international standard of performance fuels this relationship and has, over the years, produced some of our country’s top music talent.

Featured in programme is Handel’s I could have danced all night performed by Theresa Mbatha and Rejoice O Judah which will be performed by Ayanda Zwane, Bizet’s Don Jose/Micaela duet performed by Lindiwe Hlengwa and Esewu Nobela as well as Mozart’s Se vuol ballare from The Marriage of Figaro performed by Azola Mabutho and many more.

This concert is certainly not to be missed, with collaborative performances with students and the orchestra and also taking the music to people that would generally not attend our symphony concerts, so that people can see the orchestra in a different setting.

The concert is free to the public and students of UKZN. For more information on the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s activities please contact us on 031 369 9438 or log onto www.kznpo.co.za.
