David Leno is the latest luminary to be featured on Comedy Central

Branding guru, Leno, a master of inspirational marketing speak and hard-hitting career advice, is the latest satirical invention and alter ego of South African comedy maverick, Brendan Jack, creator and star of the groundbreaking Crazy Monkey and star, co-producer and writer of feature movies, Crazy Monkey Presents: Straight Outta Benoni, and Footskating 101.

Bespectacled, earnest and full of his own importance, Leno is transforming the lives of a host of South African celebrities, step by step in David Leno – Consultant to the Stars. The series premiere focuses on a session between Leno and his client, Danny K, in which Leno gives Danny some helpful pointers on branding, (“ever thought about calling yourself Danny L?”), mantras and marriage. Further celebrities benefiting from the Leno approach in subsequent episodes include Josh Strauss, Louise Carver, Joey Rasdien, Lira, Bevan Cullinan, Chris Forrest, Tamara Dey, David Kibuuka, Rolanda Marais, Cito from Wonderboom, Rob Van Vuuren and Jack Parow.
