DEADicated fans can look forward to more blood, action and maybe some heart as well. This release will continue the run of record-breaking successful series on FOX, airing within hours of the U.S.

Season 5 ended with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group becoming the ultimate consummate survivors and incredibly powerful people. Some even nearly became villains, and continuously blurred the lines of good and evil. In this season, audiences will see the group learning that if you are among the living, then you have a responsibility to do more than just survive.

Grimes and the group are also having trouble assimilating into the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them farther apart? Nothing is what it seems to be in this supposedly safe haven.

In season 6, audiences will also witness Grimes’ subsequent growth after wrestling with a few moral dilemmas - to ultimately discover his humanity. His journey will take him from a man who trusts no one and believes that he should kill before being killed; to a man that realizes the importance of holding onto the traits of what it means to be human.

Locally, in celebration of the new season, Tuks FM in association with FOX Africa will also give DEADicated fans an opportunity to participate in The Night of The Walking Dead. The Pretoria-based station together with Hatfield Plaza Shopping Centre, will host the zombie walk on Friday, 30 October 2015, in time for Halloween. 1500 “lost souls” will channel their inner walkers or dress up as their favourite character from The Walking Dead, and drag their feet through the streets of Hatfield, the Plaza’s underground parking and the mall itself. Entry fee is R100 per person through iTickets and R150 on the night.

The sixth season of The Walking Dead starts on Monday, 12 October at 21:20 exclusive to FOX, channel 125 on DStv and StarSat, channel 131.
