The choir have been privileged to have performed for Miss Teen SA for two years in a row and as well as the memorial service for late Flabba.

Kicking off the evenings performances, also from Alexandra, the Bambanani Brass Band. The Bambanani Brass Band was formed in 2000 and intends to encourage the youth to get involved in a variety of after school activities that would help them stay busy and channel their energy through music. Bambanani Brass Band performed their first show with music icon called Congry Ziqubu in Tembisa. In 2006 the band performed at City Hall for The London Philharmonic Orchestra, Funda Centre Arts Alive, Takalani Clinic and School for Mentally Handicapped. Since then, the group has grown from strength to strength and have performed for the launch of the PSL, Splashy Fen, PSL Games, shared stages with Skinny Boy (Trybe) as well as numerous corporate functions.

Rounding out the evening are The Bala Brothers, three gifted South African brothers who lifted out of poverty through their sheer musical talent.

The Bala Brothers’ journey from the dusty streets of the Kwa-Nobuhle township to a stadium-rocking performance at the 2013 Nelson Mandela Memorial Concert in Cape Town saw each develop his own career and vocal style. Performing as a trio, their focus turns back to a major musical influence they all share, their membership in South Africa’s famous Drakensberg Boys Choir.
