New appointment at Nokia South Africa

Nokia has announced that Delia Sieff, head of Nokia communications for Sub-Saharan Africa, has been appointed head of communications for the Middle East and Africa. Delia joined Nokia in February 2008 and now takes over responsibility for nine key sub-regions comprising around 25 countries across MEA.
Tania Steenkamp, who previously headed up communications in South Africa, now moves to the role of social media communications manager for the Middle East and Africa. Over the past two years Tania has spearheaded the creation of Nokia’s online press portal Nokia Connect, and the development and ongoing management of Nokia Ringaz, the local Nokia blog, as well as Nokia South Africa’s Facebook and Twitter Communities. In her new role, Tania will oversee the progress of social media integration in Nokia’s operations across Africa and the Middle East.
In May, Nokia welcomed Leo Mckay into the role of communications manager for South Africa. Leo is no stranger to Nokia having worked at Nokia’s head office in Finland as part of the global communications team since September 2008. During his time in Espoo, Leo played a key role in the devices communications and media relations teams leading several critical projects in his role as the head of media strategy.
