The facilitators wore racing shirts with 'Team Principle' branded on the back and the crew wore the same shirts with 'Pit Crew'. A Formula 1 Simulator Car added to the ambience and proved to be a hit among the delegates.

To kick each session off, the delegates entered the venue to the sound of revving racing cars, with a smoke machine creating a special burning effect.

“We had the added challenge of the venue being double-booked, and having to get a different venue at 12h00am,” explains Kim Winstanley, MD of Eventworx. “The crew worked through the night to be show ready at 07h00am, and it worked!”

Every night had its own special line-up of entertainment, with a Shabeen evening that involved braaied marshmallows, music, and games. There was also a Beach Party themed evening that was moved from the Valley of the Waves indoors to the Hall of Treasures due to rain. The tables and venue were decked out with beach balls, oversized colored sunglasses, hoola hoops, and brightly colored grass skirts.

A Grind Mobile Coffee Bar served their range of coffees and smoothies during the event, which the delegates thoroughly enjoyed. The compelling Synopsis Video provided a fitting end to the three-day conference, with the delegates leaving on a high note.

“This was a very different kind of event that posed some challenges which we managed to overcome,” adds Winstanley. “We are already working on Deloitte’s next event, which is likely to be just as thrilling.”
