South Africa’s celebrities prepare for The Zone Gourmet Gallivant

Each of these celebrities is challenged to host the best celebrity dinner party for five of their famous friends at 19:00 on Wednesday, 25 April, at The Piazza at The Zone @ Rosebank.

“We’re giving each of the celebs a R1 000 donation to their favourite charity as a thank you for their participation, plus the winner of the challenge will receive an additional R5 000 donation to their favourite charity. We encourage members of the public to book dinner at one of The Zone’s Piazza strip restaurants at 19:00 on 25 April, to make sure that they are part of the hottest dinner party in town,” said Louise Ketterer from The Zone @ Rosebank.

“You can also catch these stars at the special briefing cocktail party which will take place at 18:00 on 18 April at Liquid Chefs. Here they will be allocated, on a lucky draw basis, a restaurant from The Zone to work with for their party,” added Ketterer,

The 12 celebrities and media personalities participating in the challenge and the charities they are supporting are:

Anele Mdoda – 94.7 Highveld and Top Billing presenter supporting Cheesekids
Aspasia Karvas – editor of Marie Claire, supporting Umuzi Photo Club
Boitumelo Thulo – TV presenter and FHM’s sexiest, supporting Thusa A Girl Child.
Farah Fortune – publicity and social media guru, supporting Nappy Run
Claire Mawisa – Kaya FM producer and media personality, supporting Nkosi’s Haven.
Kojo Baffoe – editor of Destiny Man, supporting Tsosolotso Ya Batsha
Kuli Roberts – hard-hitting social journalist and media personality, supporting Sparrow’s Orphanage.
Lerato Moloi – face of Elizabeth Arden in South Africa, supporting POWA.
Liezel van der Westhuizen – Expresso – The Morning Show presenter, supporting Velokhaya.
Lupi Ngcayisa – Talk Radio 702 host and philanthropist, supporting Lupi Ngcayisa Foundation (shoes for under-privileged children).
Tumi Voster – YFM personality, supporting Kathorus Orphanage and Family Centre.

Here, people can really get in on the action - vote for your favourite dinner party for a chance to win the same experience for you and five of your friends which will be held at The Zone on 11 May. The Zone @ Rosebank is giving away six dinner party experiences so there’s plenty of opportunity to win!

The celebrity with the most votes will receive a R5 000 donation to their favourite charity.
