This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s event. It’s a chance to shop for early Christmas gifts and support three worthy charities, all at the same time.

Part of the proceeds from the Carrol Boyes Charity Open Day will be distributed to the following charities:

Monkeybiz, a charity close to Boyes’ heart, which includes the Monkeybiz Bead Project and the Monkeybiz Wellness Clinic, helps to create jobs for disadvantaged women in the Cape Town community and supports skills training and HIV/Aids counselling.

Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer is a non-profit company, established in 2012, with the mission to create awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer and supporting families who have been affected by childhood cancer by raising funds.

Cradle of Hope’s Our House of Restoration is a safe-haven for destitute, abused and vulnerable women and children, as well as young teenage girls who have all been the victims of abuse and violence and human trafficking and drug-addicts. They also empower less fortunate persons, the youth, aged, disabled, jobless and uneducated to lead a meaningful and dignified life, so that they can fulfil their physical, spiritual, family, social, career and financial needs.

The event takes place from Thursday, 3 September through to Saturday, 5 September at The Pod, The Creative Counsel Building, 105 Corlett Drive, Melrose.
