While October is Butterfly month, September is traditionally time to spring clean - donate your previously loved fashion for a good cause. The first Butterfly Box shop will be opening its doors on Saturday, 10 October in Cape Town.

This pop-up shop will change the way South Africans perceive charity shops. Stocked with designer and top quality male and female clothing and accessories, it will become a favoured shopping destination for unique and designer items at budget prices. Join international model Erin Alice, the face of the Butterfly Box, in supporting the re-invention of stylish shopping at the Threads Project, 349 Albert Road in Woodstock.

Hospice and the Lonely Road Foundation will be sharing all proceeds. Den Anker restaurant in the V&A Waterfront is offering free tapas and refreshments to anyone dropping their fashion donation off on Thursday, 17 September, between 16:00 and 18:00.

From Tuesday, 1 September join Hospice ambassador Lucas Radebe in supporting the Social Butterfly campaign. Butterfly tattoos will be available to purchase at R20 in all Primi stores across the country, and from hospices. Wear your tattoo in support of those giving and receiving palliative care, or in memory of a loved one.

On Thursday, 1 October there will be a talent show at the Baxter Theatre at 19:00, Hidden Lives, Hidden Talents. Entrants are learners aged 13 to 18 years. MC Guy McDonald, GoodHope FM radio DJ, will be joined by celebrity judges actress Ayanda Tini and senior soloist at Cape Town Ballet, Xola Puyte. Tickets are available from Computicket.
