Taking place in the hotel’s Atlantic Terrace Marquee overlooking the ocean, 70 guests will be able to enjoy this glamorous high tea in honour of the fight against the disease. The cost is R300 per person, with over 50% of proceeds donated to CANSA. Tables of 10 may be reserved too.

Guests are encouraged to round up female friends and family, dress up ‘pretty in pink’ and indulge in the pink themed delicacies on offer. During the event a breast cancer survivor will share her courageous story, while guests can also take part in a lucky draw to stand the chance to win special prizes.

After a welcoming glass of pink Pongrácz Rosé a scrumptious selection of pink treats will be presented, some of which feature cancer fighting ‘super-foods’ that are high in antioxidants. The choice includes freshly baked scones with strawberry cream, Pink velvet cupcakes, Strawberry macaroons, Rose panna cotta, Raspberry crémeux, and of course Bea’s famous cheesecake, served with forest berry gel. Those with a penchant for chocolate meanwhile will love Pastry Chef Nathan Jacobs’ Chocolate brownies coated with pink chocolate and Chocolate éclairs with berry glaze. Savoury balance will be provided in the shape of delicate finger sandwiches, including Smoked salmon with cream cheese, Chicken mayonnaise with toasted almond and Roast beef with horseradish and rocket, as well as the traditional Egg mayonnaise and Cheese and tomato varieties. The savoury and pink delights will all be accompanied by the finest selection of fragrant teas and coffees.

Those unable to make this special event may also book an individual Pink High Tea throughout the month of October. Priced at R225 per person, which includes an entry into a Le Creuset competition to win a pink Chiffon Tea Pot, R10 of each tea stand sold will be donated to CANSA. The Twelve Apostles Hotel Pink High Tea will be served daily in The Leopard Bar, Conservatory and Café Grill between 10:00 and 16:00, throughout October. To book, phone restaurant reservations on +27 21 437 9029 or email [email protected].

Guests at sister properties Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat in the Cederberg and The Oyster Box in Umhlanga also have an opportunity to join the CANSA drive. The Oyster Box Pink Tea will be served between 14:30 and 17:00, in the Palm Court, throughout October. To book, phone restaurant reservations on +27 31 514 5000 or email [email protected]. Guests staying at Bushmans Kloof in October are invited to indulge in various Pink treats as part of the legendary Bushmans Kloof High Tea throughout their stay.
