Shot by Alan Irvin from production company They Shoot Films, the first TVC for PPE brand Dromex gives an insight into the worlds that lie beyond restricted access doors.

"The incredible thing is that these are the dangers that workers in South Africa face on a daily basis, and we wanted to tell this story in an absolutely authentic way," says FCB Brandon Govender, Durban creative director.

Filmed over two days at various locations around Johannesburg, Most People showcases a number of industries Dromex supplies PPE to. The brand offers a variety of products for various applications such as mining and construction, as well as their specialised Fire, Cut and Arc range.

"Dromex believes that every worker is entitled to maximum protection in the workplace and that employers shouldn’t have to compromise on the quality of the PPE they provide. As a leader in the category, we believe it is our responsibility to deliver on this promise, and it is not something we take lightly," says Dromex marketing manager Lyndall Farrer.

"The ad is not only a tribute to the workers of this country, but also to the brand that ensures they return home safely to their families. These unsung heroes are the ones who keep our economy ticking and it was a privilege creating this communication in homage to them," concludes FCB Durban deputy creative director Declan Sharp.

Most People commenced flighting on Wednesday, 1 May on e.tv, SABC and DSTV.
