The competition was presented in partnership with KFM, People’s Post, Coca Cola and Vodacom on Saturday, 25 March at Vangate Mall.

It was here that he won over the judges, comprising of Nur Abrahams (singer), Brandon Leigh (KFM), Gary van Dyk (People’s Post) and Tamara Ngcizela (Vangate Mall), and took home first prize.

Lee walked away with R10 000 in fashion vouchers, as well as the opportunity to record a new single at Big House Studios which will debut on KFM.

"Winning this competition has been a dream come true. One of my main goals is to get a track on radio and this was an opportunity that I couldn't miss. I'm so grateful, happy and excited for all the extra prizes I received and I can't wait to get the ball rolling," Lee says.

Lee recently returned from a two-year stint in Los Angeles to build a fan-base back home. Moving from the city, he relocated to Cape Town in search of a larger audience.

Lee’s latest single, Coconut, is currently on rotation on South African radio.
