A business-focused event, the Cape Town Film Market Expo will see approximately two dozen stands featuring local and international industry support services.

Exhibitors include TeeVee, Rewild, The Film & Publication Board, The Beijing International Film Academy, Photo Hire, Value Truck Rental, Spartan Truck Hire, China Radio International, Diversity Culture Time, Timeslice, The Writers Guild, The Namibia Film Commission, and the City of Cape Town, among others.

Absa, in partnership with the Cape Town Film Studios, has constructed a full-scale film set where industry players and the public have an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at what its like on a film set. The Cape Town Film Studios is the first and only custom-built film studio on the African continent and has hosted over 30 local and international productions during the last six years.

Absa is one of the sponsors of the Cape Town International Film Market & Festival. Timeslice Cinematography is a professional in drone technology and aerial filming. It will be showing some of its latest technology with drone demos throughout the three days. Rewild will be on site with its offering of 360-degree VR filming services and TeeVee.Africa will be launching its new distribution platform at the Expo.

TeeVee.Africa is a new entertainment network that provides an online TV and video-content distribution service for broadcasters, distributors, and owners of content who wish to sell it to their customers. Currently, the app is available to download and is hosting exclusive behind the scenes content from the CTIFM&F.

The Namibian Film Commission and the City of Cape Town will also be in attendance to share information about location shoots, resources, and co-production, while the Film and Publication Board will be there to discuss new regulatory frameworks and policies.

The Beijing International Film Academy will be exhibiting and sharing plans for a cultural exchange programme that will see two young South African filmmakers studying at the institute and two young Chinese filmmakers coming to study in South Africa. A host of vehicle, truck hire, and logistics companies will also be exhibiting their products and services.

All film industry and related service providers are invited to visit, with free entry daily from 10:00 to 17:00. The Expo takes place in the Cruise Terminal, South Arm Rd, V&A behind Table Bay Police Station.
