At media update, we understand the value that niche and community publications offer and are aware of the increasing costs of printing.

For many communities, their local newspaper is the best — if not only — source of information that is relevant and topical to them. However, with the ever-increasing cost of actually publishing newspapers, many of these community papers have decreased their editions, and in many cases, completely closed down.

This is where we come in!

We’d like to offer our digital platform to the small niche and community papers out there. Using our platform, which can be customised with your branding, you can quickly upload, schedule and publish your articles.

The platform includes the following features:
  • Being able to include visual content and advertising, as well as having a database of your subscribers
  • Weekly newsletters that your readers can subscribe to
  • A contributions tab where people can pitch their stories to you
  • The dashboard, which shows the total stories, comments, views and users so that you can keep track of the performance of your content as well as any reader engagement
While we wholeheartedly believe that print is not dead, we also agree with the Newsclip MD, Simon Dabbs, who says that “Digital is the new traditional”.

By taking advantage of the digital economy, publishers — like you — will be able to stay ahead in the ever-changing media industry.
