According to the trio, Radio 2020 will focus on how to maximise campaign targeting, execution and measurement with digital radio audiences across the East Coast Radio (ECR) and Jacaranda FM platforms.

"The radio landscape is changing. People are listening while they work (often from home), and so the peak time has become anytime. The reach of radio is also changing moving beyond how far the radio waves travel — becoming a truly global medium," says the media platforms.

The webinar will focus on questions such as:
  • Who is listening?
  • What are they listening to?
  • How are they engaging? and
  • What does the future hold?
Hosted by Jacaranda FM Drive Show presenter Philicity Reeken, Radio 2020 will look at the digital audio landscape in South Africa and the digital evolution.

ECR and Jacaranda FM have indicated that, since the start of South Africa's COVID-19 lockdown, the duo have tapped into their first-party database of more than 100 000 users to understand the needs of their audience and how the pandemic has impacted them.

The media platforms say that qualitative data will be used to discuss the consumer insights gathered from the database. The panel of speakers include:
  • Kagiso Media Radio chief executive Nick Grubb
  • Mediamark's head of digital Mark Botha, and
  • market engagement management specialist Charis Coleman.
Additionally, guest speaker Patrick Roger, VP of new markets for AdsWizz, will look at how brands can harness the power of audio. Roger will also share digital audio advertising statistics, data and insights about the features that make AdsWizz an award-winning platform.

Individuals are encouraged to jin the webinar on Thursday, 16 July at 13:00. The trio has also indicated that one webinar attendee will receive a creative digital audio workshop, including completed digital audio material.

Individuals are encouraged to register for the webinar here.
