For one night only, Hennessy Artistry South Africa welcomes two of Nigeria’s biggest music acts. On Friday, 21 November, Nigeria’s 2Face and Wizkid will turn the Hennessy Artistry African tour up a notch as they perform live at the Harem nightclub in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Nigerian superstars are due to perform their first highly acclaimed collaboration track, the Hennessy Artistry 2014 theme song, Dance Go – Eau De Vie.
This exclusive one-night-only event forms part of Hennessy Artistry’s African tour, an annual event that originally started as a cocktail mixing contest between renowned local barmen, but that has since expanded in scope to become Nigeria’s biggest musical collaboration platform.
This is the first time that the Henessy Artistry party has moved beyond Nigeria’s borders, with events in both South Africa and Ghana having been added to the 2014 tour calendar due to unprecedented demand.
Lere Awokoya, brand manager for Hennessy Nigeria, commented, “Our decision to bring together talented artists from around Africa as part of the Hennessy Artistry African Tour was influenced by the convergence of Africa and African’s taste in music. Just as Hennessy is consumed in different African countries, Africa is also sharing similar music tastes. 2face and Wizkid have performed in a variety of African countries and this is evident in their relevance in the African continent today.”
The Johannesburg leg of the Hennessy Artistry African tour follows successful shows in Lagos and Ghana, which saw 2Face and Wizkid performing alongside top Ghanaian artists like 4x4, Edem and MzVee, as well as popular South African duo, Mafikizolo.
