Johnston joins the company as an account director, with over 20-years work experience and a bachelor of arts in journalism and fine art from Rhodes University. Her practical experience in communications and management covers print and digital in the media and commercial sectors.

She has experience in newspapers and magazines, having worked for the Mail & Guardian and Getaway magazine. She is a writer and photographer who has contributed articles to the Financial Mail, House & Leisure, and Visi, among others.

Before joining Stone Soup, she held a managerial position as head of content at League Digital and was responsible for overseeing, conceptualising, and writing quality, strategically focused copy to drive SEO optimised websites, inbound strategy, and thought leadership.

Desando joins Stone Soup as an account manager. She has academic training in public relations, journalism, and audio visual communications. She also has hands-on experience in the agriculture, chemicals, forestry, health, ICT, IT, mining, media and marketing, metals, retail, property, logistics, and tourism industries.

Tsungai has gained coverage for clients using press releases, case studies, and thought leaders as well as organising press conferences, round-tables, and site visits for the media. Johnston and Desando are responsible for driving content creation, communication strategies, media liaison, and handling events on behalf of clients.
