Now in its second year, the '#KrushGoodness' project is calling upon South Africans to nominate schools whose children are most in need of school shoes.

Nominations are now open and can be made by following the on-pack instructions on promotional Clover Krush products. Clover Krush will go through all nominations and, by December, 20 schools from provinces across South Africa will be selected.

These schools will then be visited in the new year, where 20 000 scholars will receive their brand new school shoes.

In 2018, upon launching the project, the brand set out to show that adding a little bit of goodness every day has the power to change the world for the better.

Miantha Roux, marketing manager: beverages, Clover, says that when it came time for the brand to commit to spreading goodness in 2019, choosing the school shoe drive again was without hesitation.

"The first '#KrushGoodness' project was an incredible success. Not only did it help 10 000 scholars who were most in need of school shoes, but it opened our eyes to the immense need for school shoes by so many children in communities across South Africa."

"That said, we could not allow the project to be a once-off thing. We had to commit to spreading goodness in this way over the long term, so we have committed to a second year of the project where we intend on spreading the goodness even further by now assisting 20 000 children with school shoes," says Roux.

In January, 10 000 school shoes were donated to children in schools across Alexandra, Soweto, Benoni, Emalahleni, Polokwane, Belleville and KwaZulu-Natal.

The project was also supported by Thembisa Mdoda, Proverb, Bonnie Mbuli, Lalla Hirayama, Nomzamo Mbatha, Lira, Pearl Modiadie, Rami Chuene and Unathi Msengana.

Six people who will be joining Krush in 2019 are:
