Clover Mama Afrika is a sustainable corporate social investment project that selects 'mamas' from across the country and upskills them, as well as their staff.

Through one of the partnerships that Clover Mama Afrika has with Eqstra Flexi Fleet, an Eqstra Distinction Award is handed out to one special and hard-working mama every year to 'commend and celebrate her love for her community'.

"Eqstra is truly honoured and humbled to be able to make our contribution to support Mama Moses's vision becoming a reality, as was being at the launch of her function hall," says Jacqui Carr, divisional CEO of Eqstra Flexi Fleet Management. "We wish Mama Moses every success and have no doubt that this is just one more step in her path to achieving even greater things."

According to Clover Mama Afrika, Mama Moses is a testament to what can be achieved through the project, which is self-sustainability. She has taken on all opportunities provided by Clover Mama Afrika and implemented them with pride, hard work, dedication and passion.

Mama Moses says that she has received support from her loyal team, as well as support from Eqstra Flexi Fleet. "No words can describe my gratefulness for what I have today," says Mama Moses.

"It has been a long journey of blessings and a lot of support I received from Clover Mama Afrika and its project partners like Eqstra Flexi Fleet. My success is also thanks to every individual that shared the opening with me — especially my family who have stood by and allowed me to become the person I am today," adds Mama Moses.

"I am more inspired to continue the work that I do for my community and its surrounds. I thank everyone with [my] heart and soul," she says.

"The prize provided Mama Moses with a well-deserved revamped function hall with new floor tiles, a revamped stage, paintwork and a range of new elements — such as a 24m long red carpet, podium, advanced draping décor training and a flower arranging course," says professor Elain Vlok, corporate services manager at Clover.

"All of [this] could be seen and enjoyed at the grand re-opening after a long nine months of planning, preparation, building and doing the final touches during the last week. Mama Moses is truly an inspiration and an icon in her community and she is reaping the fruits of her labour," concludes Vlok.
