Splash PR and Media Consultants donated its time and skills to the annual Hout Bay Sandcastle Competition, which attracted a record attendance on Saturday, 13 February and raised R45 000 to improve facilities at several schools in the local community.

Media interest included television crews from Ktv and CNBC Africa, with publicity for the event handled pro bono by Splash PR. The agency, which is based in Hout Bay, was attracted to the event as a CSI opportunity which would boost educational facilities in the seaside village, and it also sponsored a charity build by a group of six children from the Hout Bay Music Project.
