'Image'I Wanna Be… has gone to the extreme in making people’s dreams come true. In this week’s episode things are no different as the crew captures two more contestants living their dreams. An amazing partnership with the National Sea Rescue Institute makes Jessycca Edge realise her dream, and thousands of entries for individuals wanting to be F1 drivers lead to five individuals on the short list, with only one of them receiving the life changing chance of taking a trip to France to experience life in the real F1 fast lane.

I Wanna Be… “a hero” is what the entry of Jessycca Edge, a 20-year-old sales rep from Benoni, said. Tasked with a rather unique assignment, the crew approached the National Sea Rescue Institute in Plettenberg Bay to make this exciting dream come true. After a cheery start, Jessyca realised just how serious the job actually was. Warning: This programme is not for the faint of heart! Even though this exercise pushed Jessycca to the limit on both a physical and a mental level, she described the experience as “life changing”.

I Wanna Be… also received thousands of entries from South Africans who wanted to be F1 drivers. To offer each entrant an equal chance, five participants were randomly selected for a drive-off into the fast lane. After the participants were tested in various F1 assessments, only one winner hit the jackpot: A trip to the Paul Richard F1 test track at Le Castellet in the South of France to drive a real F1 car! Do not miss this episode with all the excitement, speed and glamour of a real European F1.
