The competition invites consumers to phone into selected radio stations across the country to motivate why they believe a friend, colleague or family member deserves a Bell’s. Should their motivation be chosen, the person they’ve nominated will receive a cash prize of up to R4 500.

“The kind of person that deserves a Bell’s,” says Bell’s Brand Manager, Richard Brodrick, “is not your conventional hero, but rather the everyday man who has gone out of his way to do something special. It’s all about paying respect to spontaneous good hearted actions and more specifically the people responsible for them.”

The broader ‘Give That Man A Bell’s” campaign was created by King James as a means to re-establish the emotional connection and relevance of the Bell’s brand among its target market. 'Give That Man A Bell’s' is built around rewarding the man of the moment and the idea that extra special effort deserves extra special reward.

The 'Give That Man A Bell’s' radio competition kicks off today and will run on KFM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, Talk Radio 702, 567 Cape Talk, Algoa FM, Heart 104.9FM and East Coast Radio.

In true festive spirit, Bell’s will match whatever money is given away through the campaign and donate it to the Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund and the South African Disabled Golf Association.
