With the rise of the digitised and networked market, CoGH SPCA strongly utilises digital marketing and communication skills to take their organisation to the next level. To be effective in the digital arena, though, the organisation requires employees that are not only skilled, but also passionate about the SPCA’s mission.

In order to find just the right candidates for this purpose, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA has approached Hiring Bounty to utilise the power of its community to identify individuals who are aligned with the beliefs of the CoGH SPCA. The initial positions that need to be filled are those of a PR officer and a PR intern.

“Working at the CoGH SPCA can be tough, but we know that each and every time we save an animal, we’ve made a materially positive difference to this world. It’s not for everybody, but for those who are passionate about the prevention of animal cruelty it’s a great environment to develop both personally and professionally, whilst at the same time making a tangible impact,” says Lise-Marie Greeff-Villet from NSPCA.

Hiring Bounty is a crowdsourced recruitment business launched in August, which relies on referrals from individuals in order to find the best candidate for the job. Clients include Woolworths, Famous Brands, Amazon, Sun International and Deloitte to name a few.

“We’re hosting the CoGH SPCA brief at no charge and our community is largely willing to refer at no charge too. It’s an organisation that has a rich heritage and many individuals strongly identify with the cause. For this reason, we’re expecting the referral mechanism to perform particularly well” says Greg Schneider, managing director of Hiring Bounty.
