“This is a fantastic achievement for the agency,” comments Julian Ribeiro, CEO of Lowe + Partners SA. “There’s great momentum in both the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices, and these successes are testament to the superb talent in the Lowe stable and the excellent specialisms we have in Cross Colours (design and activation) and OIL (insights, research and strategy). It’s what attracted me to the agency.” Initiative Media, part of the Lowe SA Group, has also enjoyed an impressive new business streak.

Lowe Cape Town was a finalist in Financial Mail’s Annual AdFocus Agency of the Year 2014, and the agency’s ‘Get Me 21’ campaign was voted Campaign of the Year by marklives.com.

This was followed in the new year with news that Bruce Anderson, Lowe Joburg ECD, will judge at D&AD; Joanina Pastoll, ECD of Design & Activation, will be a judge at Cannes Festival of Creativity; and Sarah Dexter, MD of OIL, has been elected a juror at this year’s ACA Apex Awards.

Ribeiro concludes, "The agency is hitting its stride. We look forward to building on this momentum by staying focused on producing outstanding creative ideas that deliver great results for our clients.”
