The improved 2015 BEE scorecard was announced after an external audit was completed.
Other highlights of the company’s 2015 scorecard include:
  • Full points achieved for Ownership, Management & Control and Enterprise Development elements;
  • Its management and control score improves from 8.75 to 9.27;
  • Preferential procurement improves from 17.41 to 18.12;
  • Employment equity improves from 2.40 to 2.56;
  • Skills development improves from 9.42 to 10.60;
  • Black ownership of 45.82%; and
  • The company retains its status as a value-adding supplier.
The policies and strategies that have been put in practice in the group have ensured that measurable progress has been made towards genuine black economic empowerment.
