The theme of the multi-talented, singer/songwriter, professional coach and inspirational speaker’s concert is the fifth year anniversary celebration of his official debut hit single, Feel for Life. Most importantly it’s about taking some time out, to celebrate the gift of life and all that connects us as a people.

“It’s a show where like-minded people can connect, share and appreciate the gift of life,” explains Jaz. “I will be performing all my popular radio singles and also pay special tribute to three of my biggest inspirations: Supadan (A band that Roeshdien use to manage in 2003, founded by well-known Cape Town born International Musician, Brendan Adams), as well as Arrested Development & Bob Marley.”

Add a remarkable opening act Siphokazi Jonas, a member of the Exodus Klan Poetry Collective, to the night’s proceedings and patrons can look forward to some socially conscious poetry. In June 2014, she shared the stage with two well-known American poets, Janette...Ikz and Ezekiel, on the Cape Town leg of their South African tour.

Jonas is also part of the Cape Town Collaborative, established by the Epiphany Band, a collaboration consisting of five vocalists and two poets who released the Women's Day song and video, I am Woman. In addition, a very special feature by one of Cape Town’s vocal quartets, Protégé, which will see them perform a special duet with Jaz, called, Be a Man, written and produced by South African songwriter, Clive Ridgway in association with The Cape School of Songwriting.

His two popular radio singles, Inside ’n Out and Love is in the House are available on iTunes. Three of his songs are also being used in the popular South African weekday soapie, Isidingo. Add the promise of a full debut album to be released in the October 2015, and of course the much anticipated, Roeshdien Jaz Live, Feel for Life concert, is sure to be a night to remember.

Roeshdien Jaz is performing on Saturday, 30 May at The Reeler Theatre at Rondebosch Boys High School.
