All ads and campaigns in Afrikaans and another nine of the official languages, excluding English, that have been commercially published or broadcast in South Africa for the first time between Tuesday, 1 July 2014 and Friday, 31 July 2015, are eligible.

The Pendoring Awards, which are 20 years old this year, celebrate this milestone by focusing on the vibrancy of Afrikaans and the other indigenous languages of South Africa. Big rewards await the creatives whose innovative and culturally rich ideas catch the judges’ eyes.

The Prestige Award winner will receive an overseas study trip worth R100 000 – the biggest prize ever – while the winning client will receive free media from Pendoring’s media partners.

The winner of the Umpetha Award, the overall winner in the Truly South African category, will receive R20 000 in prize money.

Apart from the Prestige and Umpetha awards there is also a cash prize of R10 000 and an internship for the overall student winner.

Entries close on Friday, 31 July. The only way to enter is online.
