Screen Africa is one of the most credible and prominent film industry media platforms across the African continent, and this partnership is part of their strategy to align with key festivals across Africa.

Screen Africa editor Warren Holden explains, “Screen Africa is committed to being the number one media outlet covering the film, television and new media industries on the African continent. As part of our ongoing efforts to extend and deepen our network across all aspects of these industries, we are working to increase our participation in Africa’s leading film festivals, among which ZIFF unquestionably ranks. We are really looking forward to our first partnership with ZIFF in July 2015 and to engaging more closely with filmmakers in the east African region. We hope that this is the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.”

ZIFF festival director Dr. Martin Mhando had this to say of the partnership, “We are especially excited to be working with Screen Africa. ZIFF is a proudly African festival with a long history of supporting and developing African film. Having Screen Africa here to cover ZIFF 2015 will enable us to spread the word throughout the African film industry that ZIFF is one of the must-attend festivals on the annual calendar.”

Screen Africa will report from ZIFF via their online platform, www.screenafrica.com and also follow up with in-depth stories and interviews with some of the filmmakers in attendance.

As in previous years, ZIFF will welcome dozens of professional and aspiring film directors, producers from across Africa and the world for eight days of film, music and cultural celebration. ZIFF 2015 has already confirmed the attendance of over 80 filmmakers from across Africa and the globe.
