The CSI beneficiary for Eye Focus Africa 2015 is the College of Orientation and Mobility, a division of the South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind. All businesses and professionals within the eye care industry are being called upon to help by donating materials and funds to this worthy cause.

“To kick start the fundraising campaign we are asking attendees to visit the selfie wall at the event and post their selfies to Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #EyeFocusAfrica2015,” says Rayalson CEO Kevin Kennedy. “Rayalson will donate R5 per image posted with the hashtag to the SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind - College of Orientation and Mobility, up to a value of R5000.”

The College of Orientation and Mobility trains practitioners who help to provide adaptive skills to visually impaired people in urban and rural areas, where guide dogs are unable to be placed. It is estimated that each qualified Orientation and Mobility Practitioner can reach approximately 40 people, who are blind and partially sighted, each year of their working life.

The event, the largest exhibition and conference for the eye care industry, has attracted more than 70 exhibitors, and takes place from Thursday, 30 July to Saturday, 1 August at the Sandton Convention Centre.
