2015 may have been dubbed the year of the female MC, however
Gigi Lamayne is running her own race and is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the Hip Hop industry and is competing on the same level with her male counterparts when she drops her bars.

Gigi Lamayne’s theme for the month of August is #IronLady and the first video to drop on Friday, 7 August is called #AtEase.
Lamayne is featured in the August/September issue of
Hype magazine as one of the Hip Hop forces in the South African music industry. She was the 2014 Jack Music Scouts Competition winner, and currently has a single out with Khuli Chana called
#IceCreamRemix which has held the number one spot on Ms Cosmo’s
5FM #TheStirUp local Hip Hop chart, as well as held the number two spot on
YFM’s Hot 99 Hip Hop chart.
In March 2015, Lamayne was
signed by talent management agency DreamTeam SA.
