It is centrally located, at 101 Bay Road, Mouille Point and is easily accessible via MyCiTi.

The centre can accommodate 100 people and is equipped with chairs and tables, as well as audio-visual and kitchen equipment for events. The beautiful outside braai area, landscaped garden areas and parking available make this an ideal venue for a range of events such as training, workshops, events, birthday parties, weddings, year-end functions and team-building days.

“It gives me great pleasure to be able to open this centre for all residents to enjoy for many years to come. I am thrilled that the City was able to renovate this centrally located building and create such an inspiring and beautiful space. This project demonstrates how we are working towards getting more value out of City-owned properties, while expanding our various environmental education programmes,” said Councillor Van der Merwe.

“Investing in facilities like this and environmental education will always form part of the City’s efforts to continually remind Capetonians that it is everyone’s responsibility to preserve the precious resource that it is our breath-taking natural surroundings,” added Councillor Van der Merwe.

This central and attractive venue is available at reasonable tariffs, with both half-day and full-day hiring options (which include the use of the hall and kitchen). As part of the City’s efforts to promote environmental education events, the City may waive the tariffs for events of this nature (on approval of management).
