Gehle has moved to Dubai operating as the regional director for Zomato Middle East/Africa (MEA).

Murray, as the former CEO for the influencer marketing platform Webfluential, officially began at the South African head offices on Tuesday, 15 September.

“I am honoured to have been appointed to this role, and I look forward to working with the entire Zomato SA team and all stakeholders as we embark on this exciting journey,” says Murray.

Although only having been introduced to the digital space, both from a marketing and innovative digital perspective, he has built a career within the tech space. “My career has always focused around technology and business development which lead me to the startup scene where I have partnered with some great startups to build their businesses,” says Murray.

“Zomato has an excellent global reputation and has experienced rapid growth, especially in South Africa. My main focus is around keeping and sourcing new talent, finding potential new avenues for partnerships that give our users an even better experience and maintaining the current success trajectory we are on.”

Murray joins the company as it gears up to introduce online onto its app and other new features such as cashless payments and table booking, as well as a Whitelabel Platform.
