“It was an easy decision to join such a dynamic and energetic business and I already feel at home,” says Riddick. “I am looking forward to mixing it up with some of the best creative minds around and changing the sponsorship and entertainment landscape in our country. Havas’ product offering is truly unique, so watch this space!”

When asked about her decision to appoint Riddick, Lynn Madeley, CEO of Havas Southern Africa said she was looking for someone who had an “inherent understanding and ability” in how to assist clients use sport and entertainment strategically in their businesses. “I am very excited about the value Ian will bring to the business and all of the Havas businesses in 2016,” she says.

In reference to the other Havas appointment, Madeley said for the Media business, she was looking for someone who was “digital at their core” very much like the Village offering.

“We met Bongi at the end of last year and we immediately knew she was right for our business. Clever, confident and focused on the importance of digital media in the communications mix, but also with the ability to collaborate with the entire village. I am looking forward to seeing her take our clients to the next level in digital media.”

Mvuyana has worked across various blue chip companies as a digital media consultant and has a wealth of knowledge, which she aims to impart on the growing client list of Havas.

“Digital runs through my veins,” says Mvuyana. “I am incredibly passionate about it and work hard to achieve excellence in what I do. I may not know everything, but what I do know, I do well, and what I don't know I read, learn and ask questions about until I know it well enough to add value for my clients.”
