The good news for their fans is that the title track of the Hoogtevrees album will now be released as a single.

According to Ludik, most people will be able to identify with the song, Hoogtevrees, which was co-written with his band partner, Reynardt Hugo.

”It is the story of a romance that is at a crossroad and you wonder what the next move must be,” he says. Very often people will have doubts in their relationship and themselves and if it will work. Hugo says that it is then that you have to close your eyes and take a leap of faith. “You must forget about your past and start on a clean slate.” is his advice.

He describes Hoogtevrees as a “pulsing pop song with a quick tempo on which you want to dance”.

The group is just as excited about the full album’s release in August 2016. Hugo says that they worked on this project for two years and it will most definitely be their best and strongest work. “It is done in typical ADAM style that our fans love. We stuck to our roots but did bring in a few fresh sounds.”

ADAM is one of the most productive bands in South Africa. After their first album, Adam, was released in 2011, they went on to release Vir Jou Gemaak (2012) and Goud (2014). All three these albums achieved gold status.

In 2014 their song, Sal Oorlog Vir Jou Maak, was used in the local blockbuster, Pad Na Jou Hart, which was an overnight success for the group. It did extremely well on the local charts, received a Huisgenoot Tempo - Song of the Year nomination and a Ghoema Award for Song of the Year.

Other Ghoema Awards for ADAM include Best Newcomer (2011) and Group of the Year (2015).

They were invited to perform at the Huisgenoot Skouspel show for three years in a row at the Sun City Superbowl and also rubbed shoulders with international artists, opening for the group Westlife in Namibia (2011) and for the Australian group, Air Supply, when they toured South Africa in 2014.
