The group consists of upcoming artists such as Chase Lasi, Bakhothe Mzee, Jus’Feez, and BadFellaz who are a part of the first 6-month programme.

“This year has been one of the most challenging years with PRuth. I have learnt a lot and conquered a lot as well. I believe that when one is blessed, you need to give back to the community and the only way I know how to do that is to provide upcoming musicians with the opportunity to make a name for themselves with the proper knowledge, skills, and opportunities,” says La-Tasha Pucoe, director of PRuth Communications.

“The PRodigy Programme will be the first of its kind where a PR agency provides such a service for those who are not big names yet in the music industry. I love fresh new talent. It’s time for the youth to truly show the industry what they can do even though poverty or other issues may be stopping them from living their dream. Sometimes the music industry has crazy requirements for upcoming talent because studio time is expensive, shooting quality music videos are expensive, and asking their role models for advice is impossible. I would like to find a way around these problems especially with the 90% local music initiative in South Africa. The PRodigy Programme will run twice a year for 6 months at a time and our next auditions for Part two will be in June 2017,” adds Pucoe.
