The best and the worst of South African music videos will be pointed out at the
MK Awards 2007. Artists and musicians featured on DStv channel,
MK89, have been nominated for in various categories, including those of best video and best group.
To register as a judge and to be able to vote for their favourites, viewers must register via the internet or SMS. A panel has nominated the finalists, but ultimately, the winners will be decided by viewers.
Haddad Viljoen, publicity and marketing at MK89 says, "The music video industry is growing at such a tempo that there's plenty of room for such awards, to acknowledge the artists”.
The best video category includes artists such as Bok van Blerk (with his video De La Rey); Chris Chameleon (Shine); The Parlotones (Beautiful); Lark (Moonlight); and Dorp (London out there).
