Danny Forster, previously presenter of
Extreme Engineering on Discovery Channel (DStv Channel 250) and now presenter of
Build it Bigger will be in Johannesburg at the end of January to film an episode at the deepest goldmine in the World!
Discovery Channel prides itself on only filming at the most extreme locations in the world, and once again South Africa is right up there! Discovery Channel plans to flight
Build it Bigger in South Africa in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Build it Bigger finds Danny travelling to dangerous depths and (of course) nauseating heights in search of incredible feats of architecture and engineering underway now. He doesn’t just point helpfully from a comfortable distance; he gets right in there and tries his hand, for a few minutes anyway, at the crazy-hard jobs that make these projects possible. Welding upside down 1 000 feet in the air? No problem – for the unbelievably brave man who does it every day. For Danny it’s a panic attack. Danny holds a degree in architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and his full bio is available at
