The riders gave their 67 minutes on Wednesday morning to Lebone House – an orphanage for HIV positive and abandoned children on the outskirts of Bloemfontein. Their duties ranged from painting the dining room area to planting trees and laying out a gravel road. While painting the dining room area, Freeman stole hearts in the city of roses when he met some of the children at the home. One little boy thought he was Madiba himself. The children thanked the riders by singing songs and giving each rider a drawn picture of themselves with their hand prints on the envelopes.

The central South African radio station, OFM threw their weight behind the riders and the forthcoming Nelson Mandela day with a live broadcast on Tuesday morning from the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Houghton. The OFM Hit Mobile welcomed them at their first stop in Stilfontein, North West and the station organised with the Harley Davidson Club of Bloemfontein to welcome the riders and their back up vehicles on the N1, escorting them to the hotel where they were staying. OFM also hosted the riders and their support team to dinner on Tuesday night. The Breakfast club with Tim Thabethe broadcasted live from the hotel on Wednesday morning bidding the riders farewell and a safe journey.

Mambo Jumbo presenter, Rian van Heerden will travel with the riders, blogging and doing crossings to the OFM studio on their journey through the country. The riders will end their six day journey in Cape Town on Sunday, 18 July – the day when Nelson Mandela will celebrate his 92nd birthday.
