Mello allegedly resigned alongside fellow board member Barbara Masekela in the middle of last month, but was urged by the Department of Communications to reconsider his decision. It is believed that frustration over the delay in the Parliamentary hearings - which have left the board in limbo - convinced Mello to confirm his resignation yesterday.
