The daughter of food industry giant, Lannice Snyman, who passed away in 2010, Tamsin has literally grown up in a professional kitchen. Her 17-year food career incorporates professional cooking and catering, food writing and styling, product development, and marketing for a variety of clients.

Tamsin trained in promotions, marketing and business communication before joining Lannice Snyman Publishers in 1994, which she now presides over. In addition to handling the company’s publishing contracts, she has styled 10 cookbooks and worked on numerous TV adverts and movies to create visually exciting food.

Her cooking experience includes two years as Head Chef at CC Africa’s Ngala Private Game Reserve, as well as establishing her own high-end catering company and regular consulting work to restaurants and food companies.

Tamsin is CEO of the SA Barbecue Association, Academy Chairman of S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants (Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands), as well as a member of the Judging Panel for the American Express Platinum Fine Dining Programme, and has a healthy passion for all things food-related, both local and global.

“We are enormously privileged to have Tamsin on board,” says SHAPE editor, Tracy Melass. “She is a foodie in the real sense of the word: she knows it, she loves it, she literally leant it at her mother’s knee. Her passion, enthusiasm and and vast knowledge makes her a real asset to the SHAPE team. We can’t wait to see what she cooks up – all healthy, nutritious and good for your waistline of course!”
