The Daily Dispatch reports that the contracts of at least six Tru fm DJs have not been renewed, including those of the seasoned Phiwe ‘Pastor’ Nozewu and former TV personality, Andile Ncube. The news comes as Station Manager, Thobeka Buswana, is scheduled to announce a new DJ line-up at the end of March. Boozie Mabona; Elvis Mali; Xola Stefaans; and music compiler, NoGoilde Ntlokwana are those whose contracts will not be renewed.

Tru fm has not enjoyed a good reputation in recent years and poor management has been blamed for the constant reshuffling of DJs and the hiring of inexperienced DJs, which has seen the station lose listeners to other regional stations, like Algoa FM. The station lost 90 000 listeners just five months after an extravagant re-launch in April 2008.
