Born and bred in Mashite village of Ga-Mphahlele, Mpho always wanted to be a radio personality. In 1996 after he matriculated he entered various radio drama auditions on Thobela FM without success until he enrolled for drama classes at Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa's Drama institute. There he learnt how to use words powerfully to deliver a message. Since then Mpho has performed in more than twenty radio dramas on Thobela FM where he has displayed his comedian skills. Mpho recently presented programmes on health issues, civic education and commerce and finance.

"I’m so thankful to the station's management for recognising my expertise in drama and entrusting me with the responsibility of producing a drama for the financial freedom project which educates listeners about financial matters."

What listeners might not know about Mpho is his undying love for videography and photography. He spends most of his weekends shooting videos and pictures for clients at parties and weddings. "At every wedding I learn something from the speeches of powerful ordinary people. This is one secret of being a succesful radio personality; take time to listen to ordinary people's voices in the villages” ends Mpho.

Mpho is humbled to have had the opportunity to speak to Dr Aaron Motsoaledi about medical male circumcision and to the controversial Dr Agrippa Khathide about strengthening relationships. These talks make Mpho Moroaswi see and feel the reality of how media contributes to behavioural change of people.

Broadcast of Justice on the Airwaves ends March 2012.
