Instantly recognisable thanks to his many TV and movie appearances including The Pure Monate Show and Bunny Chow, Joey Rasdien is a comedy heavyweight whose thought-provoking stand-up comedy plays heavily on pinpointing the idiosyncrasies within societies and communities. Intellectually absurd and physically hysterical, Rasdien uses his huge intellect and effortless delivery to highlight the social, political, moral and ethical questions facing South Africans today.

Versatile comedian, writer, broadcaster and extreme golfer Paul Snodgrass has come a long way since he started his comedy career at the Smirnoff International Comedy Festival nearly 10 years ago. That initial appearance was followed by five star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival and a recent sell out one man show. A founding member of the Cape Comedy Collective and Comedy All Stars in Cape Town, Snodgrass is a regular performer at the Kingsize Comedy shows and Heavyweight Comedy Jam. As a side-kick on e.tv’s That Sport Show for three years, Snodgrass was prepared to meet every sporting challenge, gamely swimming against Olympic gold medallist Ryk Neethling in a pair of flippers, facing fast balls from cricketing fast bowler Makhaya Ntini without a bat in a hockey goal-keeper's kit and trying to side-step Springbok rugby player Schalk Burger. On radio, Snodgrass is part of Heart FM’s afternoon drive show, as resident sport anchor and side-kick to host Diggy Bongz, and fronts his own cult radio show The Bro Show on 2Oceansvibe Radio, where he encourages celebs, sports stars, musicians and comedians to open up and dish the dirt like no other radio show.

Stand-up comedian, Twitter king and Headline host Trevor Gumbi has an innate charm that offsets his assertive energy on stage, as he brings to the fore some politically uncomfortable issues and delivers them with hilarity. Outspoken and sometimes controversial, Gumbi has got audiences members peeing in their seats at major comedy events in the country, including performing at Kings & Queens of Comedy, Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Kingsize Comedy Jams, Blacks Only, Laugh Out Loud, the Arts Alive Comedy Festival and many more. In his spare time, Gumbi also finds time to write and star in SABC1's sitcom Ses'top La, a spin-off of the hugely successful City Ses'la. He is also widely recognisable from the character he plays in Vodacom's Brother Ubuntu Freedom ads and as the voice of the fool in the Hippo insurance ad campaign. Previously, Gumbi was a senior script writer on SABC3's political satire talk show, Last Say on Sunday.

Controversial comedienne and writer Nina Hastie is clearly one smart cookie. Confident and sassy, Hastie specializes in razor sharp observation and boldly addresses topical issues that many shy away from. A comedy festival regular, Hastie was the youngest radio host in the country at the tender age of 13 and subsequently spent five years with K-TV and YFM. Adding yet another string to her bow, Hastie has voiced multiple characters for feature-animated films, The Adventures of Dick King and Bushfire Fairtytales.
