Both of these channels attract over two million kids to tune in to their programming for a period of at least three minutes or more per day and their audiences reach between 70 to 75% of the total kids audience that watch the DStv children bouquet on a daily basis. Currently, Boomerang has a 4.85% share of the kids’ channels watched, while Cartoon Network comes in with a share of 4.25%.

For the past seven weeks running Tom & Jerry Tales has been Boomerang’s top show reaching a total of 1.6 million kids. Other shows such as Looney Tunes and Garfield on Boomerang and Ben10 and Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network all prove to be firm favourites amongst South African kids.
