DStv Mobile has introduced new channels to its mobile television offering. Much acclaimed local channel Mzansi Magic will be joining the DStv Mobile stable in replacement of Africa Magic Movies. The mobile version of the channel is largely the same as the satellite channel, but where licences have not been granted for certain movies, substitute movies have been scheduled.
kykNET will also be debuting on DStv Mobile. The channel is filled with local flavor and broadcasts only in Afrikaans. It has everything from talk shows to music programmes and local dramas.
DStv Mobile is constantly looking for ways to give consumers what they want and provide them with a world of extraordinary entertainment.
“Over the years we have strived to meet the requirements of different lifestyles and channel preferences through introducing new devices and new content respectively. With the addition of Mzansi Magic and kykNET we hope to reach a broader audience” says John Kotsaftis, CEO of DStv Mobile.
The additions come just before the festive season hits – giving subscribers even more to keep them entertained during the holidays.
DStv Premium subscribers can access up to 15 DStv channels at no subscription cost. All other subscribers can expect to pay R49 per month.
DStv Mobile coverage is available in the 10 major cities of South Africa: Johannesburg (including Soweto), Pretoria, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, East London, Mbombela, Rustenburg, Bloemfontein and Durban.
