Narrated by award-winning actress Lynn Whitfield, the series explores the devastating consequences when all-consuming romantic passion erupts with such intensity that ordinary people commit unthinkable and criminal acts in the name of love.

There’s the tale of Atlanta’s own Great Gatsby, a millionaire playboy found bludgeoned to death in his mansion; the case of the missing airport baggage handler and the story of the young woman who slaughters her first love. Driven by powerful real-life stories, Fatal Attraction weaves together intimate first person interviews, evocative cinematography and exclusive interrogation footage. Each episode opens with a shocking crime and then flashes back through re-enactments to the beginning of the incident providing viewers a glimpse into the dark heart of a dangerous romance.

“We believe Fatal Attraction will captivate viewers’ interest,” says Tia Smith, executive in charge of production for the show which comes from the makers of the popular and long-running Snapped. “Given the propensity of love-gone-wrong stories in today’s news, the series taps into an unfortunate, but timely trend, illustrating the power of misguided passion.”

The second season of Fatal Attraction airs from Wednesday, 13 August at 22:00 on Sony Max, channel 128 on DStv.
