The Kings Of The Weekend album will be available in all reputable music stores and on all digital platforms as of this Friday.
SPHEctacula and DJ Naves will host album launch activities across the country over the next two months, kick starting this weekend with the below events:
- Friday, 4 September 2015 at Taboo, Sandton; and
- Sunday, 6 September 2015 at Moloko, Pretoria.
The Kings Of The Weekend album is a 15-track multi genre offering that has been in production since late 2014 and is the seminal release by the duo who are the owners of a recording label, Eminence Productions. The album will be marketed and distributed by the biggest major record company in the world, Universal Music.
The Kings Of The Weekend album comprises original music co-produced and co-authored by SPHEctacula and DJ Naves in collaborations with acclaimed South African producers such as DJ Clock, PH Raw X, Maphorisa (Uhuru) as well as decorated vocal talents including the likes of Professor, Donald, Khaya Mthethwa, Big Nuz, Kwesta, Reason and DJ Tira.
This album showcases the versatile tastes of the two entertainment powerhouses by showcasing an eclectic mix of genres such as Hip Hop, House, Soul and classic Kwaito to mention a few.
The lead single from the album is the DJ Micks-produced
KOTW Anthem, which features the talent that is Kwaito heavyweight Professor.
KOTW Anthem is already making waves on the streets and has been play listed by radio stations such as
Metro FM,
Gagasi FM,
Lesedi FM,
YFM and
Ligwalagwala FM just to mention a few.
