In the next few episodes of My Story, viewers will be welcomed into the homes of South African icons such as Riaan Cruywagen, Reuben Riffel and Tim Noakes, as they tell their stories of success, as well as opening up candidly about the lowest points in their lives, and how they managed to overcome some incredibly tough obstacles in their journeys.

First up, though, is soccer hero Lucas Radebe. From humble beginnings as one of eight children growing up in a traditional home in Soweto, how did Radebe go from playing for the Diepkloof Wolves Wanderers to being the toast of Leeds United? A beacon of hope for so many South Africans, Radebe put his home country on the map when he was recruited for the Premier League. His life seemed idyllic, but what devastating tragedy eventually propelled him to use his fame to help others?

Find out on Tuesday, 13 October, as Radebe, along with some of his closest family, friends and other soccer legends piece his story together.
