With three hours of fresh content every weekday from 16:00 to 19:00, she will be treated to programming that’s fresh, entertaining and inspiring.

With 22 brand-new and original programmes for launch, it seems viewers already have found their favourites. Viewers are inspired by the brave dieters of Die Eet Oorlog, which airs every weekday at 16:30. In this show, three women each try out a different diet determined to change their lifestyle and, of course, lose a few kilos. With tough lifestyle mentor, Dr Albert Viljoen, as their guide, their month of dieting will be no
laughing matter.

“Women identify with what we’re going through and they see us as an inspiration,” explains Ernusta van Wyngaard, the contestant following the Banting diet. “Words like ‘we admire you’ make me blush.” All the contestants’ diet plans are available on the Via website.

Another programme, which is receiving a lot of attention is Zavion, which airs on Tuesdays at 18:00 with repeats on Tuesday evenings as well as Wednesdays and weekends. Zavion made his mark as a Survivor contestant on M-Net and is now the star of his own reality-TV show. He is driven, has a lust for life and fills his days as a wedding co-ordinator. To top that, he is also trying to qualify as a decathlete for the Olympic Games.

“VIA’s content is focused on real people we can identify with, reflecting everyday realities of our viewers,” says channel head, Cheryl Uys-Allie.

VIA boasts three hours of brand-new episodes every weekday. VIA is available on channel 147 to DStv Premium, Compact, Family and Extra subscribers. TV schedules are available in Huisgenoot and tvplus as well as on www.viatv.co.za.
