Durban singer, Lloyd Cele, who shot to the limelight when he was voted runner up in Idols 2010, will entertain the crowds at the Durban SPAR Women’s 10/5km race at 10:30 on Sunday, 19 June at the People’s Park at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Long before Idols, Lloyd was always passionate about music. He was the worship director at his church and also a youth leader at Eagles Community Fellowship which equip young people to be effective in their communities. He is a self-taught musician and has learned to play the guitar, keyboard and saxophone.

Since Idols, Lloyd has performed at some of the country’s top events, including Miss SA pageant, Gary the tooth fairy show on M-Net, the Paarl Jazz Festival in Cape Town, Durban ICC and K Day, to name a few.

Hip Hop outfit, Warrior Knights, who recently came fourth in the SA Dance Championships, promise to ignite the crowd at 10:00, just before Lloyd gets on stage, with their breath-taking streetwise dance moves.

East Coast Radio jock, Trevor Williams, and sports presenter, Dumi Kunene, will MC the entertainment, race prize-giving and lucky draw for R12 000 in shopping vouchers from SPAR, which follows Lloyd's performance.
